Brunch at the Bank

If there’s one thing I love in this world, it’s brunch.  Little did I know the neighborhood just around the corner boasts a slew of Sunday-appropriate eateries (two words: “bottomless mimosas”).  Most recently, I ventured to Teller’s of Hyde Park with my boy for a delicious meal with my mom and stepdad. I’d only been to Teller’s for dinner, but if their rooftop patio and steak & wine pairings were any indicator, I knew I was in for a treat.  I ordered macadamia crepes and alternated between bites of it, Braeden’s crab cake benedict and my mom’s hummus with olive tapenade.  We were impressed by their refined interpretations of typical brunch faire and we couldn’t resist pairing our dishes with Teller’s mimosas (although we were a little bummed they were out of the blood orange variety).

On top of the delicious food, all of the old bank fixtures are still in place—from the giant vault and lockbox condiment holders to the teller stands.  Definitely a place to check out for a lazy Sunday afternoon, or, once the temperatures warm up, a romantic evening out.
