This Year’s Love

2011 was such a change-filled year for me. I experienced so many positive transitions, as well as some difficult, yet growth-inspiring moments. Either way, it was one for the books, and I couldn’t wait to send it out with a bang and usher in the New Year in style. I ended up spending the holiday with my amazing new friends and fellow bloggers, Marsha and Brock of Style Edit, as well as some of the most important men in Brock’s life. We had an amazing dinner at Marsha’s beautiful apartment in Covington and danced the night away at Northside Tavern for one of the best Dance MFs I’ve had the pleasure of attending. And in true blogger fashion, the three of us put on our flyest fashion hats for the evening—Marsha & I in vintage and Brock in a cleverly layered BCBG tank and dress. I have to say, the men didn’t disappoint either—as Brock’s husband and brothers prove, you can never go wrong with a denim shirt!

Ringing in 2012 with new friends felt like a symbolic prelude to all the great things ahead of each of us. And although I certainly missed Becki (she spent the night in Indianapolis with old friends), I was glad to introduce this lovely group to one of my favorite Cincy spots.
