Totally Obsessed: Diane Keaton
The recent release of Diane Keaton’s first book, “Then Again,” has rekindled my affinity for this undeniably cool lady. At once a brilliant actress and fashion icon, her style choices have endured over time, adapted slightly with age. My favorite “Diane” style era is, of course, her years spent as muse to Woody Allen in films like “Annie Hall” and “Manhattan”—roles that allowed Ms. Keaton to establish herself as a fine thespian as well as an unapologetically eccentric fashion muse. I always found it fascinating how she could incorporate so many menswear elements (ties, vests, button downs, loafers) with slouchy trousers and a wide brim hat, and still look so darn feminine. For the November ’11 issue of Vogue, Annie Leibovitz photographed DK in an updated version of this look, and it seems she is as much “Annie Hall” at 60 as she ever was.
